About this poem
I wrote this poem after going on a date. The conversation we had beneath the stars inspired me to write this poem. We talked a lot about our mentalities and ambitions, and I thought we were pretty incompatible. I don't want to tell how to interpret the poem, but a central question I think a reader should ask is "which person is the idiot?"
